Welcome back to Travel Troubleshoot, a ~monthly series where I answer paid subscribers’ travel questions submitted via our Substack chat. So, let’s talk about where you’re traveling this year or what places you’re curious about. If you’re new here, I’m rerouting all travel-related questions in my texts, emails, and Instagram DM’s → here!

If you missed the first three Travel Troubleshoots, here they are:
TRAVEL TROUBLESHOOT 01: Top 10 favorite restaurants in Paris right now and Mallorca stays on a budget…
TRAVEL TROUBLESHOOT 02: An inaugural trip to Italy by way of Florence and intel on the Romans' secret seaside paradise...
TRAVEL TROUBLESHOOT 03: Where to go in southern Spain and some lesser-known Greek islands...

Now, onto this month!

I’m going to Copenhagen in the summer but would love to venture further afield like Faroe Islands! Any fun offbeat Nordic suggestions outside of usual suspects?

Sounds fun! Copenhagen is a fantastic place to visit in the summer—arguably its most vibrant season, with daylight stretching well into the night and the chance to swim in the city’s canals. It’s also a great gateway to some of the best coastal getaways in Northern Europe.

The Faroe Islands are a solid option, I’m sure, but I’ll admit I’ve never been and don’t know much about them. I’m not a big nature trekker, and that’s the main draw there. Plus the temps are cooler and the weather is unpredictable… a bit too moody and misty for my summertime vibe!

You asked for offbeat suggestions, and while the three places I’ll mention aren’t necessarily off the radar for locals, it’s likely that foreigners haven’t given them much thought…
